Hello Folks, I'm new hear and have built a few rc boats from scratch for friends for fishing.

I am looking for some help, I have a Hitec lazer 4 handset, I'm wanting to know what MHz it is but I have no idea.



This is a pic of the crystal I don't know if this is of any use of if there is any way of telling.

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Mike...I know very little about RC frequencies, however a Google search on 48.675 MHz [as you have shown] reveals the following...............Derek

Hi Mike Mhz stands for Mega Hertz, Your radio set indicates it is operating at a frequency of 40.675 mhz FM. There are 3 legal frequencies presently available in this country 27 and 40 Mhz and the relatively new 2.4 Ghz (Giga hertz, similar to bluetooth technology)
There are many frequency slots available in the 27 and 40 Mhz ranges and they are almost infinite in the 2.4 ghz range FM = Frequency Modulation, AM= Amplitude Modulation and these indicate the point on the sine wave at which the radio signal operates.

     Here is the 40Mhz frequency table  http://www.ukrcc.org/40mhz.html   and as you can see the lable on your crystal holder says
     you are on channel 51.  The lable on the crystals will say  TX for transmitter and RX for receiver to indicate what goes where
     as the frequency number will be the same on each tab.
