RCME did an article in which one was built but was found to be not very successful as an RC project. The report then went on to detail a sand "Yacht" for RC but looked like a brick mounted on a basic beam framework.

Hi Thanks for the replys.
I do actually have a land yacht kindly given to my son by a club and forum member JayDee, and it goes pretty well, I was just thinking about making one so I can race him  %%  and that the SFA looked quite good, however reading a few comments elsewhere I take it that it was not a total  success so might have a closer look at the Jersey Clubs poly pipe version.   :-))

I have ordered this plan from MHS, but have been informed that due to problems with their Provider it could be some weeks until I get it! We shall see! I also ordered a genie Plan, which arrived, but is difficult to read owing to poor printing, maybe that is why they are having troubles?

A lot of these earlier plans are very old and fragile dyeline prints and therefore difficult to reproduce. There is little demand for them so the cost of restoring and digitising them cannot be justified.
