A Big load for a Springer

these pictures are of a springer owned by one of our club members pushing our new 2 mtr flat top pontoon,loaded with our other two crane barges and with a little flat top between.

Hi Martin she has a robesh motor on 6 volt with a 40 m prop,i built it 2 years ago.

Nice pushing power, the pics look great.
 
Just got hold of mine from Daz...it be spraying and modding time...grunge springer here we come.

Read somewhere that before the weekend warriors took over the canals that the narrow boat makers would go to scrapyards and obtain the Diesel engines from scrap cement mixers for a new lease of life as the power units. These were the old chuggy Lister single cylinder cracklers. Only doing 4 MPH but real load movers.
