Turnigy Accecell-6 Instructions Help
« on: April 26, 2013, 11:27:32 am »

Hi All,

Just bought the above charger ......

However I'm having a little trouble understanding the Chinese English in the instructions.

I've set up a charge/discharge program for my new batteries but I'm not sure how many times I've pressed the 'Start/Enter' button.   If it's flashing does that mean it's working or ready to go ?

The instructions suggest that it should show what is happening, ie. the charge/discharge rate etc. but I can't seem to find this screen anywhere.  pressing 'dec' or 'inc' just changes the display from 'charge/'discharge' to 'discharge/charge'.

Err,, help ???

Thanks

This sounds very similar problem as with the IMax B6.

How do you actually set the charge parameters.

Is it possible with these chargers to charge NiMh batteries too fast.

Has any one an "English English" Version of what to do.

:} You do have to set the parametors,i.e. battery type and charge rate,it will charge up to 5amps. Automatic voltage adjustment, will charge
and balance up to 5 lipo's,works well for me, goes with me when I go boating,I hope this is of some help as I had to work it out by trial and
error,Ray. :-)) :-)) :-))

I bought mine from the Component Shop in the UK who very kindly said to phone them and they would talk me through any problems I encountered.  Assuming you bought in Australia would your shop offer the same service ?   Failing that an email ?

If you 'play' with the various buttons to see what happens, often back and forward to the same place sometimes !!! it won't actually start any cycles/start working until you've held the start button down for 3 seconds.

hope this helps

PS The Chinese English is obviously straight out of the dictionary  {:-{   and sometimes fun to read if not always very helpful !

Have played with the various buttons, with instruction book in one hand, but am a little dense in understanding what it is doing.

For example, sometimes it says battery is full, other times, time expired, supposing that means it may not be fully charged.

Does the charger do all functions, namely, charge and discharge, automatically or am I asking too much.

Am only recharging NiMh.

Wouldn't be cricket for me to email the component shop for assistance.

I believe it runs a similar operating system to the iMax B6.  That being the case, the time expired means that it took more than 2 hours to charge the battery.... I have had this issue charging lead acid batteries.  You just need to restart it to finish charging
