Hello to all on the forum I am a complete beginner at model boat building and will be glad of any advice on this subject.
I have ordered my first boat kit which is  a Mantua 1/35 police boat I am hoping it will arrive tomorrow and can't wait to get started
(newbie eager beaver) if anybody has experience of this kit I would be grateful to hear from them.
The reason I chose this kit was the price and the ease of building ?
regards to all Ian  %)

:-)) Hi,Ian, glad to you are starting your boat building with something simple, you can learn a lot with just a basic boat,as you proceed with
the build you will gain in confidence and be able to to take on more complex projects, too many people start off trying  to build something
that they have not learned the skills to carry out, they end up disheartened and are lost to this wonderful hobby.Any help you need you get
off the great guys on this forum, don't be afraid to ask I do,Ray :-)) :-)) :-))

Hi all
Well the boat kit turned up yesterday and I made a start on it seems to me that it's an excellent kit for a beginner
Yesterday afternoon I managed to lay the keel and glue on the ribs.
Today I will glue on the deck and make a start on constructing the cabin
