HI
Guys / Girls
I Have just started on my amsterdam build , in the process of fitting the steering nozzle 85mm OD diameter from the prop shop ,and waiting for the kort prop to be made
so i thought i'd start on the superstructure as i don't want to glue all the decks in place in case i have to go back and change some thing with shaft line
i must say i'm very impressed with how easy and well all the laser cut parts fit together ( unlike the dumas die cut parts in the tuna clipper kit )
i'm about halfway through the superstructure and im wondering how you guys that have built the amsterdam before did the glazing of the windows ?
i can see i won't be able to get inside some of the cabins (3 levels ) to stick the tinted plastic card on from the inside ,
if i paint it in levels and put the glazing in as i go , is one way but i won't be able to repaint the whole thing without getting over spray on the windows unless i tape them up then i will have a tape line round them
what do you guys do in these cases
thanks Bob
frame sika flexed in
85mm od propshop nozzle
have deleted all the kit aputure timber at the top to get the nozzle in and shifted the shaft and log back 45mm to reach the pivot point of the nozzle
raised the shaft line 4mm so the nozzle does not hang down under the keel and clears the hull by 1.5 mm
deck just sitting there so i can start on the superstructure
