First job sanding away excess glassfibre on top edge.

This mini belt sander came in handy.
Drilling holes for Rudder & Prop shaft support.
Positions identified by two raised 'spots' on moulded hull.
Pictures on the instruction are a bit confusing (picture shows rudder fitting aprox. 20mm from back edge of hull - THIS IS WRONG)
After talking to deans marine the instructions are based on the first protype builds, so are a bit out of date.
So look out for updates on this build.
Next the Rudder tube exit, again marked on hull.
WHITE METAL FITTINGS
for those who are familiar with this material the castings can be a bit rough so a lot of time can be spent hand filling fiddly little bits supplied in the kit, so patience and care is required.
Example the prop shaft support. Not a great casting but still usable after filling to shape to fit prop shaft tube. Removing the loction lug and replace with brass pin / wire for extra strength.
Vacformed parts are part of the kit, including the Motor Mounting.
So next trial fitting motor, prop shaft & rudder fittings....keep looking.
