Tiger has landed
« on: June 12, 2013, 11:19:43 pm »

Tonight collected my 1/96 HMS Tiger hull from Robin of Scale Warship, very very pleased, nice person, some exciting things in the pipeline and he also makes a good cup of tea.

My models are not nice, clean and ship-shape. They be mucky, grubby, rusty and smelly.

I will also be following this build as I have the hull and running gear for HMS Lion
( an unconverted Tiger Class) and intend to start this build shortly.

Are these the old Cammet mouldings and fittings?

Bob, my hull is  a Deans Marine, and the running gear is George Sitek and all the electronics
are from Dave M before he retired - got turrets from Robin at Cammett, together with some
photo etch.  Just have to finish HMS Leopard and been spending too much time fishing, in
the garden helping with the horse.

The Hull had its first wet today, simply to sort out more or less the battery location and to see how they affected waterline.  Please to say she sat solid as a rock, and almost on waterline.  This now allows me to plan what openings are needed in the deck.
Since starting this topic (and yes pictures will follow the build)  I am pleased to see how many HMS LIONS are on the stocks, by funnily enough not hear of a BLAKE  yet!!!!!
