The Diana, designed by Glynn Guest. A fast semi-scale launch based on the Fairey Huntress.
Just a few pictures of a finished Diana on the water.
The boat was made from Glynn Guests plan, but it was made to half the size to what was intended, which is the size the plans were printed at.
So the boat is 180mm long and 70mm wide.
It is running on a small brushless motor, with a single cell Lipo battery.
The basic hull, cabin, prop and rudder was constructed by David Pledge of the Knightcote Model Boat Club, he also fitted the motor. Thanks Dave, a great job.
The rest I finished myself. To include fitting the electrics, assembling prop and rudder, adding seats and detailing to the cabin. Also adding all the railings. Then final painting.
The single 650 mAh battery is giving a run-time of about 6 minutes.
The internal layout.
The prop and rudder.
The boat on the water.
Cheers
