My names Will ( didnt like being called Billy so used third name as it was the only other normal one ) , Everyone uses my last name Roger but im always getting Roy, Robin, Ray,Rob, Robert,,,,,usually its Robert but sometimes its John! ( for some reason! )

The thing that used to ( and still does ) annoy me, is when i have people correct the spelling of my name....

Ive always used my third name Roger When i used to write it on a letter or similar I used to often get people crossing through my name and writing what they believe to be the correct spelling next to it with the center underlined they seem to have some weird idea I should spell it Rodger...when its Roger they always sent my letter corrected back to me!

Oh dear my pet hate!  My name is Roy and people persist in calling me Ray, I am sorry for the thread starter but I hate being called Ray.  It is also not contracted from Royston, I don't know anyone called Royston I suspect they have changed their names anyway.
I have two other names but they don't seem to belong to me, they are just there and when I fill in forms I lose the third one.
regards,
Roy

I have found that people like to shorten a name no matter how short it is to start with  >>:-(

I am Bob.  If people like to assume my initial R stands for Robert then I do not correct them.
I have no association with Nottingham  O0
