The copy I have of that picture only says S/V Lillian, hence the confusion.  So it's Terror Bay off King William Island, Canada.  Interesting fact, Terror Bay was named for one of the ships from the ill fated Franklin expedition, H.M.S. Terror.  The location of the wreck was unknown until 2016 when she was discovered in Terror bay.  When the bay was named in 1910 they were completely ignorant of the fact that the bay's namesake was resting at the bottom of the bay.

Your turn, Davie

I didn't see the film Davie, I cheated and Googled it, terrain was very Icelandic.  I`ve been thinking about an idea for a "where is it" type theme based on statues after seeing that one of the figure hauling a rope.  Maybe a "who, why and where answer required" , a nautical theme might be too restricted, too many admirals but not excluded.

  Correct Capt. Podge.

Yep, thanks for that. There is a similar statue(s) in North Shields which, although depicting a fishwife, has always been known as the "Wooden Dolly" - a google will provide pretty much the whole story. :-))

In the meantime, here's another statue which, although outside the UK, should be identified fairly quickly...

Ray.
