just hit UK TV is a series from your side of the world........."Bondie Rescue"...........fly on the wall programme about the lifesaving service on Bondie Beach............ really good prog...........brings back happy memories............just can't believe how fit those guys and girls are.......and what a great deal of work they do..........

one quote from one of the lifeguards from an episode the other night after he had gone out to save some guy........"most of those we rescue are foreign tourists and backpackers, and the majority of them are Brits who haven't a b****y clue how to surf".......nearly spit my beer out,..........good ol' poms showing us up yet again

It is the formwork scaffolding in the construction of the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge which will rise above the flooded plains of the Burley Griffin diggings

Obviously these proceedings were a little before your time in Canberra
