So it is Geoff.....with the second image of the span raised and ready for slewing..........

Not sure why they moored an FFG next to it  >:-o......there is always plenty of wharf area at GI.......unless they had a few cruise liners berthed??

The bridge was strictly a pedestrian walkway from the City centre to Darling Harbour....millions of tourists would have walked the bridge O0 in a year..........now the Dingbats who control Sydney decreed she should be permanently opened

Martin.....I had acknowledged to our Geoff in Queensland, that the Port of Dampier was the answer to the question & was the original location shot for an HMAS Anzac Class Frigate being refuelled

Well yes Geoff it is the foundations for the original Spit Bridge .......well done  :-))

However I had cancelled the question..[which as per page 2, paragraph III, (two hour time limit) sub section 8 of Neil's Rules] is permissible O0

According, my second image as posted as referenced 'Today at 05:56:29 AM' is still the question to be answered   {-)

Just butting in :o  Derek, the Glebe Island Bridge was closed to all traffic, including pedestrians, in 1995, but the Pyrmont Bridge, also of the swing variety, remains open to pedestrians, vehicular traffic having been diverted in 1981. The bridge is opened regularly for demonstration purposes. I have walked it many times, and have driven over it on numerous occasions back in the 60s and 70s. The now defunct Sydney Monorail also used the Pyrmont Bridge.
