Might have been better if we had stuck at least to ships and the sea etc if not model boats.  I thought the Ports were interesting. Plus lighthouses.

Ned got Southwold first so should be next.
As for those who don't like this thread - DON'T READ IT!!! (Now who did I learn the shouting from??)
Some people can build model boats AND enjoy life at the same time, for those who can't .... tough!
I enjoy lots about Mayham, but shoving your ideas down others throats is not one of them.
Come on Ned, your go.

An early paddle engine, probably in Europe, location appears to be Germanic, possibly Swiss; initially each cylinder of a steam engine was referred to as an "engine", therefore we have two "engines" being illustrated here.

But I've know idea where - at present.

I find it very interesting and, as Martin says, it's just a distraction. It's in Chit Chat where non boat related topics should go, so I don't see a problem.

Is it one of a pair for a paddle steamer ?   Famous  as say Great Eastern ? Perhaps from the original (WWII) P.S. Waverly ?   BTW, I`ve got paint drying at the moment %)

I suspect that it's from a Rhine or Danube steamer, probably the latter going by the architecture, Who, BTW, is waiting in for a new oven etc. to be delivered for the on-going restoration of Budgie Towers and who is also unable to use the workshop due to it being full of stuff, it's weeing weeing down  as well.

Thank you very much ...it has now starting to bucket down here too. Major pop concert(Mumford and something) suddenly went quiet, maybe not using enough CorrosionX.  Continental paddle steamer you say...hmmm.  I thought the building in the picture was English/British looking.

On an open space of ground beside the Renfrew ferry is the preserved engine made in Robert Napiers Lancefield works for the paddle tug Clyde.

I thought it was likely to be a paddle tug.
