Where is this? Note that the panel insert was removed by thieves! I have a photo of the replaced panel. It has a salty connection.

Really, there don't need to be any guesses on this one, BUT WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY I HAD.

My friend neil took me over for the day from Heysham on Wednesday for a day at the races.

We watched the day's activities from Braddon Church, arriving at 07.00 hours and got front row seats.

Sadly because of mist and then some idiot parking a vehicle on the Air ambulance Helicopter landing spot  which had to be moved before any racing could begin.....racing started at 12.45, but we were not disappointed, other than the last race of the "lightweights" started just as check in finished for our ferry home. Had it not been for the early delay we would have seen 3 races and two practice's.

Sadly on the first race John McGuinness retired just below our seating area, but at least we got a good look at his bike after the race.

Just brilliant. Arrived home at 23.30 hours having started off at 02.15 hours.

Yes, it is the Nab after the steelwork was removed recently. Looks completely different to what it used to.

Well your getting there, called Beijing now. Peking is the old western name but to the chinese the words are the same pronounciation and dont represent a change. That said the old western name is appropriate for the actual place :)

Hence the reference to school atlas, (got mine 70 years ago) plus  the quality of the illustration is  a giveaway to an older system of imaging, looks pre Mao , no red flags.   Don't know if the Forbidden City has water.    BTW who is the person on your avatar ?
