Replacement water pump for my Robbe dusseldorf fire boat
« on: June 01, 2013, 02:01:26 pm »

Hi all, my Graupner 12v water pump has packed in on my Robbe Dusseldorf fire boat, the plastic gear on the motor has worn out. Anyway, looking around for a replacement I noticed a big difference in price, from £16.00 - £30.00 and me been a tight git thought I would just replace it with a car washer bottle pump. Looking on eBay I found this for £4.50
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STC575-Land-Rover-Series-2-2A-3-Windscreen-Washer-Pump-Motor-/370618181064?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item564a90a5c8

This is exactly same pump as my robbe pump and at least a 3rd of the price.

Sometimes it pays to be a tight git :}

Also bears more than a passing resemblance to Graupner's #1951 pump (£12.20 on CMB's lists).

£6.50 new has got to be worth more than a second hand one  O0

Old Landy parts from a scrap yard are at a premium
due to the off road brigade restoring/rebuilding
the older series.
As Circlip says £6.50 inc carriage for a new one
is a no brainer

 If you buy the ebay one, soft mount it.
