Chinese geography
« on: June 01, 2013, 02:32:50 pm »

Why is it that whenever I buy items from a well-known hobby mail order company which are advertised as being "in a warehouse near you" they take three weeks to get here and are postmarked Hong Kong? Do you suppose these chaps don't have a world map or is there perhaps another 'Nottingham' just over the border on the Chinese mainland?
I think we should be told.............

Why of all people, would you be ordering items from your friendly neighbourhood Chinese warehouse, has the world gone mad, cats and dogs living together, that sort of thing???

If its the well known company I think you mean
if they state that the item/s are on back order
they are on their way from H.Kong
you have to wait and then pay the inflated added
import duty as well. The sooner they get their
U.K. warehouse fully stocked the better.

One may (or may not.....) be fooling around with brushless motors  %) and these little Oriental chappies seem to have a healthy selection of them for silly prices.

Shouldn't that be "Koch"? Have the Scots muscled in on the small-arms trade or are you scared of the Evil Blue Pencil?
Anyroad up, m'duck; the old Royal Ordnace Factory has long since been turned into a Homebase, PC World, Sainsburys, Expensive Office Buildings type of place. You can get your H&Ks, Glocks, S&Ws and Berettas on-line these days, or so they tell me.

(Just found their UK agents NSAF Ltd about three miles from the old ROF site, so I guess there is still some H&K presence locally)
