Barry (Footski), a lot of Australia's problems were caused by poor discipline, both on and off the field, and former coach, Micky Arthur, seemed unable or unwilling to do anything about it. Darren Lehmann, on the other hand, will stand no nonsense, and may just be able to focus the team on playing good cricket.
Day 1 of the test was quite remarkable, with Australia's bowlers dominating England, but our batsmen were unable to keep the momentum going. 14 wickets in one day, on what appeared to be a good track, is unbelievable. Day 2 should be very interesting.
Australian Rugby is certainly not broken, but it is rather dented at present. We have the players, and it will be very interesting to see if Ewen McKenzie can get them playing to their full potential.
