Converting the Seaport into a smugglers boat (old tug)
« on: July 01, 2013, 09:41:29 pm »

I have started a new kitbashing project. I have plans to make it into a retired tug that is use by smugglers.

And some pictures of how far I have come so far.

Used paper for the first time. epoxied it and it is rock hard

Had some old deck laying around. "keep it free"

leds

coloring some cotton clothes to make gods for the smugglers

Layout

An old winch I weathered.

Layout with the gods.

Layout of the boat. I like how it looks. It looks old and "patchy"

Throught the windows.

Very nice conversion and detailing  :-)) , there appears to be no end as to what can be done to a Seaport.

Some more progress. I have added a matte coat and done some weathering. also added a "oldschool" crane system to the front. Remember I use only what I already have around on this project. I will not buy anything new. [/size] keeping it free

Like this conversion. Lot's of character. Be nice to see some video of it on the water once finished.

Thanx. I am looking forward to getting it in the wet myself. Some more progress. I have added a captain and put in the windows. I have also added some brighter leds. I am considering colouring them to add some “age” to them.

The "pornography" too the captain. Had some problems making the picture through the small hole in the floor.
