@jaymac:
I presume you found this page:
http://www.andersonmodel.com/products/products_show.php?language=_eng&pid=59&cid=9 It looks like upmarket cheap Chinese to me. I have a few Chinese boats (Hurricane, Discovery, Monsoon) and have seen a number of other similar ones.
In looks, it is reminiscent of the Shunbo Surmount but is 100mm longer - similar deck and sail styling
The rigging methods remind me a bit of the Joysway range (eg Dragon Force). As with most of these boats, the rigging method and material looks substandard - if it were mine I would replace the shrouds before it went near the water....
It has a really strange setup with the sailwinch - the short winch arm with double haul would likely be underpowered on a 900mm boat in anything but light conditions - looks like they are using two servos in parallel to drive the sailwinch arm???? Many boats this size use a drum winch - slower but much more powerful....
All this waffle is probably no help, but you may find a clue in there....
If you are looking for a cheap 900mm performer, the Shunbo Legend is worth a look. If you prefer the classic look, the Shunbo Surmount 800mm may be an option - these are both around US$100, need to add a 2 channel radio and some lead in the keel.
