Very simple Henlong Tug conversion
« on: July 10, 2013, 10:18:45 am »

Hi, this is my first topic at this forum, and english is not my main language. please pardon my english.
i'm not a modeller, and i'm trying to change the looks of a henlong seaport. i did not like the stock looks..

first thing to do is remove the water ballast, replace it with fishing sinker.
also replace the stock electronics. i use a brushed airplane esc and mini servo.

clean up the accecories screw hole over the deck

a little mod on the superstructure, just to make it looks simpler..

deck repainted with black flat..

almost done..

all done..

a little light for night sailing..

For quick and simple, I like it  :-))

A tip I saw for lights. Remove windows or mask the inside of the superstructure. Spray it black, and after that spray it white again. This will stop the light coming through the plastic.
