Tethered hydroplanes
« on: July 18, 2013, 10:39:19 pm »

I am a member of Heaton & District Model Power Boat club. In our club there is a small number of guys running hydros, but to compete there is a lot of travelling involved. I had heard a rumour that the Herrington club were planning on running tethered hydros. Can anyone shed any light on this? At present I would just be a spectator but I would love to have a go at running one day.

I don't know about the Herrington Club, but the MPBA web site has contact details for the Model Hydroplane Club of Great Britain. The Secretary of that club may be able to help. Contact details are on this page http://www.mpba.org.uk/Section_pages/tethered_hydroplane.html
