Hi all just bought my first yacht after reading up on a few reviews
,the boat i finally went for is a Phantom,i had searched Ebay and the cheapest was £95 plus £10.95 postage and packing the dearest was £115 plus £10 postage and packaging,i had a look on u tube and looked at the Monsoon and the Phantom there wasnt a lot of difference between them other than the reviews of the Monsoon where a bit negative on the built quality of some of the components
so i decided on the yellow and black colour scheme of the Phantom rather than the white or red and black of the Monsoons,i saw a link to the Hobbyking website and went to have a look the Phantom was listed at about £92 pounds and the Monsoon in the mid fifties so then the price was swaying me towards the Monsoons even bearing the reviews in mind,i wanted something i could get on the water in as little time as possible as having just joined a club and building a scale tugboat which will be some time before it is finished i felt like a fish out of water when i went to the pond where they sail just watching etc and not really knowing anyone there so as to speak anyhow i had left the webpage open for about 5 mins when this pop up came up with a (one time offer) so they say reducing the boat to £62 and a few pence i know its a gimick but why dont they list the correct price at the start
Well this clinched the deal and am just awaiting delivery now for an all in price of £75
I believe they come without instructions but i hope i can solve any problems by posting on this forum and pick up tips on improving it.
Just waiting for the postie now.
