im lookig to build a stalwart and wonder if eny one could help to tell if i can get eny plans to do this.i have seen at least one built at warwick one year.wanting to do it in 1/24th if poss.eny help would be gratfuly accepted 6

David , do a google search for kit form services , Howard does a lovely one
Or try accurate armour , Glasgow . Both statics I'm afraid.

There was a very detailed article about building one of these in the July and August 2011 editions of Model Boats magazine. You should be able to obtain back-issues.

I have a pretty good book in pdf format on the Alvis 6 wheelers with a pretty good section on the Stalwart.  If you PM me I could send it to you.  It's a little big (about 42 Mb) but it should e-mail.

tjanks for that mate but i do have a lot of photos and books on the stalwart.what i need if poss is some plans on a model one.olso if i can get independent drive to the wheels and props and the best way to go about it.

I hope these will be ok for you . You can scale them up or down to suit whatever size you want to build it .

making that as a 1/24th is going to be a challenge to fit everything inside , even at 1/12th it could be a squeeze , but at least youd be able to get axles from the tamiya truck boys ! good luck , nice to see somebody making something different

If you look at Gloucester and district model boat club you will see a fantastic fully working (including jib) model, it is really a very well built complex model and very effective in motion.

thanks for the imput lads.got the books today so a lot of reading to do.am going to try to get down to warwick this year and see if the stalwart is on show.
