been chatting with Andrew this afternoon (Pioneer, my cohort in crime  build), and it is one way of getting the motor underneath the rear deck, to go with a brushless motor as there isn't a great deal of space, and as the vspu's don't need a great deal of revs, and the fact that they only need forward motion on the motor......reckon it might be a good idea.. plus both units could run off small output/physical size motor each, and one esc between them.......it would help greatly the electrical wizardry set up.

Glued the boss's onto the hull today, using polyester filler, did a little filling of a few small uneven bits to the plug, and sanded all down................and then I couldn't resist it..

Why build only one Calmac ferry when you can build two.

I bought this little landing craft look alike ay a car boot earlier this year for a fiver, and although it's a little twisted it's nothing that can't be straightened out in the build, and it is the same scale as the Jupiter..........so am going to build it as a little inter island ferry called Eigg

I've had a few personal upsets to deal with the last couple of months which have depressed me somewhat to the stage where I couldn't be bothered with doing anything other than with my kids but now a re mortgage has been sorted, I am a fighter and will bounce back.........it's almost time to get back into the build process. Well! I haven't found a pretty blonde yet, but will keep looking, lol

so mind back onto the real job,..................

and today was a day with the filler........first the hull sides to fair them in where I had changed the shape of the hull at the stern, and then fabricating a strange skeg shape to the hull, as shown in a picture of her sister ship Raasay.

Note also the strange "Y" shaped prop shaft supports that will have to be fabricated and soldered up at some stage...........happy days again, lol

Mick I was thinking ( always dangerous) that with a pen name like yours you would know where all the bad girls,or is it dogs slept, you bad boy. Lets not get our Neil into trouble or at least anymore than he can do himself. Neil I think you learned your boat building from a plasterer, lovely work though, Mick B.

Hullo Neil....I know looks or angles can be deceiving  %) :o ...but does the faired stern hull have enough upward sweep?
From the real vessel image......the actual stern [corners] has virtually zero draft to the waterline......
I still think the young lady's image courtesy of GAZOU is just beautiful.........Derek

you have a very perverse mind to think that one up matey............I'm worried about you,  {-) {-) {-)

Derek...............been thinking about that, and although it's going to be a stand off scale model, I think I'm going to add about 10mm to the bottom of the boat to give it a little more draught.......will have a look tomorrow and see about adding a couple of blanks.

going to lie down in a darkened room now.........can't get those thoughts and images of mick's out of my mind. %% %% %%

I showed the pictures of the hull to my neighbor.
She is happy in the interest of NEIL.
When my neighbor NEIL will see her rub her back against the hull.

Severine is the name of my neighbor wants a picture of NEIL
