Firstly, it amazes me that you can miss a topic despite being a member for nearly three years!

Secondly, while reading it and being inspired by the good step by step tutorial on GRP moulds and moulding, it was a roller coaster of a ride as first you left because someone was a daft biffer and then luckily for us you came back and showed us your excellent ship taking to the water  :-)) She looks lovely and cannot wait to see further progress shots.

Re tidiness, the sawdust and odds and sods help absorb spillage of tea dna resin I find :O)

How is your daughter doing at College? I hope all is well.

Sorry, Sir.

I don't think Neil is coming back, as he just wanted me to put some pictures of his model actually on the water after so long for those who had been following it, and from what Derek in Australia said previously, there were a lot.

He hasn't intimated to me that he wanted to make this a regular posting on his behalf.

I do know that he makes rare updates on two other forums though if anyone is interested in the progress.

As promised, neil has sent me photos of the finished model of his Caledonian Macbrayne ferry, MV Jupiter. he sent them to me this afternoon and asked me to post them on here for those who both followed the original build and those who thought he would never finish it.

So here it is in all it's glory.

Hope you like it.

Jim

Sorry, to have missed this acknowledgement, but he asked me to say that without Andrew Petrie allowing him to take the original hull mould off Andrew's [ Pioneer on here] plug , and without the enormous help from Dave Milbourn [aka Inertia] or all his help in setting up neil's digital radio and Voith Schneider units, he would probably never have finished the model.

Hello Jim - yep, I've been in the background following the build on the other Forum and I'm really glad, after all he's been through, that he found the heart to complete the model.
Please pass on my congratulations on his outstanding efforts and I look forward to his next one.

...and of course, special thanks to you for keeping it going on here as well. :-))

Best Regards,

Ray.
