It works out at around 1:46 scale Charlie..........and the model truck is 1:50 so not far off........and I'll be using any vehicle I can get between 1:43 - 1:50 for cargo including an Eddie Stobart of some variation, lol

I'm enjoying this bit.............taking me back to my childhood and expectancies of Christmas day when I was 11 - 12 yrs old.........and waiting for santa to come..................and before you lot rib me about the old man in a red coat............yes I do still believe in St Nich, the Loch ness monster, yeti, big foot UFO's and ghosts, %% %% {-) {-) {-) {-)

and I can now relive my youth by buying a load of dinky and corgi cars and trucks to put on my ferry as cargo...........a couple of trucks and a couple of old classics next..........on their way to a highland Cowel Games classic car rally.

Whew, thanks for the explanation.

Thought the mods had let some 'explicit' content slip through, but it is only the modeller being accurate and faithful to the original.  O0 O0 O0

the car deck is filling up especially with my favourite cars, especially a reminder of my own early classic cars.............just got to get hold of a triumph vitesse convertible in Valencia blue, a triumph tr6 in white and an mg b or c in numerous colours, lol, plus another semi trailer that my mate Wicker is sending me and we'll have a full load.
Meanwhile I visited the local model boat club at Largs whilst on holiday last couple of weeks.......and I cannot praise those guys for their friendship enough.......made me and my old friend Iain Crosbie ( ex owner of the Clyde lifeboat I modelled 3-4 years ago) so welcome when we visited, that one member had made a model of Jupiter, the boat I am modelling............and photos I took of this model will be immensely helpful when I come to detail mine.............I'll add some photos of the Largs member's boat after my own.

the reason why I am filling the car deck up at this early stage is so that I can work out a method of fixing them all, in order for me to be able to lift off the two access hatches for the interior, and also to stop light fingered people ( I am very cynical and untrustworthy since I had a trawl door nicked from one of my trawlers some years ago down at the lake at Fleetwood, and earlier this year a lifering and breaches bouy pad from one of my lifeboats this summer)................and when I see on ebay that the little caravan attached to the MGB on the front of the middle row now sells for £85.00 as it's a rare collecters item ( I bought it 25 years ago with the MG for a tenner) I am not going to have my nice collection stripped within minutes whilst my back is turned..................

sadly I have ,as I have got older begun to trust less and less.........a bad trait I know...........but one that protects my property.

I have tried to include some of the old cars/vehicles I have driven and owned over the years........................however one sparkling mistake but modellers licence is on the car deck................a mars bar to anyone who can guess what the none genuine mistake is!!???, lol

Neil, when you buy most car models they used to be screw mounted on to the base packaging? I would have thought some of your models could be screwed up from underneath the deck to stop theft and easier transporting?

nope that's not it Arrow.......sadly most of these models are now made by Cararama ( an Italian company I think.......and they all come LHD.....mind you, ya won't see that small detail from 30 ft out..........no, there's a more glaring anomaly.
and yes, Mick...you are right....what I plan on doing is to make small blocks of wood to glue to the deck, and a threaded screw will be glued through it into the underside of the car.............the block will be painted same green as the deck, and glued to the deck thus anchoring the vehicle from light fingers making off with them.

oh dear...I got the nationality wrong..... :embarrassed:

is 500L......500 litre volume capacity within the vehicle?........or 500CC engine capacity  :o & keep your steroids to yourself  :police:

In 1972...I purchased a new  FROG car..... a Renault 12TL...she was white in paint & beautiful  :P .....however I would never consider an Italian job with one FWD gear & 10 reverse gears  {-)

Anyway....back to the question???? what is the anomaly?......... Derek
