if your plans are show the chain well, put that section on a photo copier and enlarge it twice or four times, makes it easier to count the links per inch and then just divide..  finding a good photo with something of a known length near the chain can work also...

HMS Tiger helo carrier found near as dam it match but its not cheap, still that's another of the list  :}

Use Floating Drydocks chain . I have just used some on my USS San Francisco [ see my portfolio for photos ]  9.5 links per inch

If it is any help, HMS Fearless, similar size vessel to the cruiser used 65mm dia stud link CC, about 2 .5 links to the foot. I know that because I put her in chains when she was put up for disposal.
