Thank you for your kind comments, its been a labour of love, although the research has taken a lot of time in getting it right as she was in 1943. She is 6ft6" long so getting to the pond is a slight problem but what the heck!!!!
I have some photos of the build in progress and will up load them asap.
regards

Stunning! I saw the real thing yesterday with a tarpaulin hanging down some of her hull, couldn't tell what it was for. Sorry no pictures of it.

Phil... we see just a glimpse of the electric motors in images 812 & 855....
May I ask what type of motors are they? [geared?]....and is the rudder to scale?........she must have a huge turning circle
If I ever get to UK........that is one vessel I will see & walk upon....congratulations on the build  O0 ....Derek

Derek,
The rudder is too scale
All WW2 cruisers had small rudders like this

Hi Derek the electric motors are FALCON-550  4.5-15v d.c. direct drive  {4 } off gives a very good scale speed .
The rudder is to scale and yes the turning circle is big but using the engines in forward and reverse she is very easy to handle.
Putting a larger rudder on just doesnt look right when she out of the water.
