I watched "Tower Heist" over the weekend - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0471042/

Not bad, 7/10

Ben Stiller not his usual maniacal self.
Interesting to see Eddie Murphy as a supporting actor....!

Okay, this is not going to be easy, and it will be wrong by the time I post it. In no particular order;
Pulp Fiction.
Jaws ( you dont say, we would never have known!)
Dr Strangelove.
The Fog. Original John Carpenter version.
Dark Star, never trust a talking bomb.
Is that five already?

1. Kelly's Heroes

2. A Field of Dreams, originally from a book called Shoeless Joe by W P Kinsella, a fellow canuck.

3. Dances with Wolves, of course.

4. Cry Freedom

5. The Commitments

1) Compass Rose was a fictional ship

2) The actual ship used was HMS CROCUS (K-49).

3) I've always assumed he is referring to King Alfred Dock in London but I'm not sure.

4) As far as I'm aware you can't salute without a cap on and you can't wear your cap indoors but some of our RN chaps may know more detail.

King Alfred is also Headquarters of the Portsmouth division of the RNR, and is on Whale Island :-)) :-)) :-))
