My eBay listing and the listing on here was completely different so that rule doesn't apply

If it was for the same item then it has been duplicated.

Oh dear, ambiguity rules. By the same token, where was the item posted first?

Perhaps the rule should state that "for the duration of the item being posted for sale on MBM, it cannot be posted on any other for sale site"

Colin I'm sorry but that's not how that reads I have had people who aren't even in to model boats or no me that well read the rules and they even stated they don't see what i have done is a problem,
I listed it in all good faith and honesty trying to make some money as my hours have been cut at work and I'm getting married in less than a weeks time so I'm struggling for money I don't personally want to sell as I wanted one for ages but I need to put other things first,

As far as I'm concerned the rules state no duplicate of eBay listings well my item wasn't duplicate it was just listed differently maybe the rules need to be re worded because just saying duplicated means a complete copy of

Hi Darren, from what I remember of the ad (could be wrong) you didn't mention Ebay in your post, someone else did and put the link up? Am I correct or going senile?

Darren,
It isn't a problem you have decided to overule the owner of the site in open forum.
You have been awarded a yellow card from me.
You can go study those rules closely.
Continue with this open dispute and a red card will be the next sanction.

I find that Martin is a very approachable person   :} , if you had simply put your item for sale on here first saying that if not sold with 10 days or so it will go onto ebay or such auction house then there proberly would have been no query..

Rules are quite clearly worded

3. Ebay listings are not to be duplicated here without prior consent of a moderator.

You may have not put the link up but it is on ebay so therefore duplicated..

thank god for that.................No need for arguments when you blatantly cross the line and then challenge the rules..........If we all challenged the rules then this site would be C*** as you want to call it.

grow up, grow a backbone, admit you're wrong when, and if you finally return as a member willing to follow the rules of the club........... and enjoy what is on offer here........that's what they are there for, to keep things running smoothly.

By the way.......enjoy your wedding.

The rules are clearly worded Long Build but it doesn't say "MBM listings are not to be duplicated on fleebay". Chicken/egg ?

Maybe
But to come on ranting and raving with only a low number of posts were a simple email to the site Owner or mod would have solved it.  :-))

Ah falling foul....... %) %)

So it can be up to a moderator ?, what would constitute such an exceptance to have both here and ebay ?

I recently fell foul....shades of grey id say....in "MY" thread somebody wanted to sell me a boat not what i asked for...i merly pointed out he was expensive..... I got the Huge rules imploded in my post...apparently i was flaming war and scuppering his sale....i mean really !!!! if i had gone on his thread then id accept that ruling...but he came to my thread  >:-o

Im also watching closely the super douper multiple sale thread, im sure someone recently got their knuckles whacked for having multiple sales in a thread starter....but yet the rules are per post  %% {:-{

Saying that generally everything is nice and cosy, sometimes their are bursts of pmt going about...normally about the middle of the month  ok2
