Sub Day, Barrow in Furness - Sunday 8th Sept 2013
« on: August 16, 2013, 08:45:13 am »

Hi All,
Just a reminder of this regular event.
My home club Furness Model Boat Club invite all model submariners to sail on our home waters. If you haven't been before it's a free event, all welcome, with a "bring and share" buffet lunch in our comfy clubhouse.
Starts about 10am.
See you,
David

A final reminder about this one.
It is this Sunday.
See you there for the last submarine event of the year.

Might be an idea to put this years date on a new thread, Dave. Might help to avoid any possible confusion.

The lake at Barrow has had a serious leak which has had a repair cycle which should be successful, but the water level at present is between 15-20 inches deep, the lake is ground water fed and with evaporation from the summer months the lake will still be shallow by the time of the regatta and will not be expected to be back to the normal level until next year. The lake is weed free and sailing will be limited to the depth of water available- (a challenge to submarine models)
