But like our jolly MP's we of course enjoy expenses at least twice our salary to keep a country pile near Wicksteed in case we do attend the Mayhem Weekend.
First Class travel to and from Martins Meetings and of course a decent hotel for the night and rented limo.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww then I wake up!!!!!

Agreed....Humour is often used to divert attention from difficult situations that could have been avoided.

I also agree the way to defuse a sense situation is with a laugh, sometimes people take themselves too seriously and we all need to lighten up at times,I like a lot of Mayhemers like the funny topics as well as the more informative posts, long be it as it is at present, happy sailing everybody,Ray :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

The best way this situation could have been avoided would have been for the original poster not to have challenged the rules in the first place. The rules are there because Martin, the site owner, set them, and the moderators uphold them. Martin has explained why he introduced the rule in question, and any further discussion is quite unnecessary. Any resulting light hearted banter should not be a cause for concern to anyone.
