Day 49 small job completed. In the fittings box I came across some electrical back box rubber cable gromets and these where the right size for the cable hawes squeezed to shape and the groove fitted either side my ply side perfect for secure fit.

Late on Day 54 O[/size]k so as you might of realised by now I like making my own parts so them pesky pulley blocks I was looking for all over the internet I no longer need to do as I will make my own.. from the good old fittings box this is what I came up with size 18mm x 12mm approx.. the pulley wheel is material eyelets from a craft shop. made two single blocks and will make a double block tomorrow.. and they work happy days. :D

Excellent work!  That really was scratch building, wasn't it?  Those pipe joints make excellent barrels.

That's a nice job you have done Nigel - and this is the first time I've seen a "block henge" jig being used - well done :-))

Love the build. Also I see you used your wife's steamer for the wood bending as I did too. I did it slightly differently, I had a piece of 38mm plumbers pipe (sink outlet) I cut it to length, made a bung for one end that the nozzle of the steamer poked through. Filled the tube with my oak planks and then a wet cloth in the other end. I left them for 10 minutes and they stayed pliable long enough to bend to shape over my frames.
