I've taken the plunge

Well whilst I am building my own boat the summer passes so I have bought a dragonforce 65 to enjoy. Should be with me next week so pictures to follow

dont blame you , mine arrived a week ago , which is now completly stripped down for a colour change

I wondered about that too. I want to varnish the radio tray for sure but wasn't sure about hull painting. What will you use?  Will you overspray the black or strip it off. ?  The hull is abs ist it

Im not changing that much, I just thought I might add a lick of paint to an otherwise dull hull.  But in fairness, I havent seen mine yet so it might not be dull at all!


Why not a fiesta? Because the DF65 is a known good performer out of the box and as a newby RC sailer (my ,life has been wasted on aeroplanes and nitromethane) I wanted a benchmark from which to build my knowledge base.  I think the Dragon is the benchmark.  I suspect the Fiesta would also be a benchmark, but I KNOW the Dragon is.

I see you have made kites, if you are ever in Kent the come and find the Kent Kite Flyers. This weekend we are Parachuting Teddy Bears in Faversham Kent.
