Pusher Tug
« on: August 31, 2013, 07:48:27 pm »

 :-) Hi,
Anyone building the MMB Pusher Tug "Euro-Girl"???

Just started on mine , cutting out the wash ports so I am wandering if there is anything during the build that might make my life a little easier.
Thanks & Regards,

Ceres.

I have had the pleasure of building that model was my second build of brians models best advice I could give when building the super structure is dont totally rely on the templates and dry assemble first before you glue , check twice glue once.

Take your time.
Dry /test fix everything.
Paint before gluing.

Are you sure Martin ? Glue will only be sticking to paint, better it sticks (penetrates) the wood.   Depends on where the part is I suppose, if it gets closed-in  and cant be painted later. {:-{

Sorry, I meant, paint the parts first before gluing them in place,  don't paint the gluing surfaces.
It's much harder to paint once fully assembled. ie. assembling a winch....
