Mersey Window Set
« on: September 01, 2013, 12:55:42 pm »

Hi folks..

I'm starting to gather all the bits and pieces for my Mersey build and have got myself into a bit of a quandary..

I'm looking to buy the window set but have found two suppliers - Macs Mouldings & Speedline Models.

Big difference in pricing between the two.

Can anyone advise on the comparison of quality and build.

Hi mate, I have just got a set of window frames for my Arun class lifeboat from mac's mouldings and I am very happy with what I got.

Regards Dave.

Sounds good. Where are you getting your stanchions from?

Regards Dave.

Speedline Models are charging £2.50 for CNC turned brass stanchions.

Hi Declan at £2.50 each speeline won't be getting an order from me, so unless model by design do stanchions it will be model slipway. :-)) :-))

Try RB models, they have a very good selection of stanchions @ very good prices from .33 euro to .58 of a euro.I have bought some of their stuff  & it is first class all the way & you can't beat their prices. You can also buy their parts through Cornwall Model Boats also.Mick B.
