While I never had the opportunity or pleasure of knowing Stewart personally, I did know of him through Mayhem and Model Boats Magazine. I am sure he will be greatly missed, not only by his family, but also by the people involved in his hobby.

My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Scoop,
You did so much for us and in the end we could do nothing for you.
So unfair that you never got to enjoy your much anticipated early retirement.
You'll be remembered as a BIG man.
Rest in peace my friend.

Deepest sympathy to Jackie and family at this sad time.

Danny and Lynda

I didn't know you personally Scoop, only through Mayhem and your reports in Model Boats.

The Hobby has lost a great asset with your passing.

My heartfelt condolences to your Family.

Very sad news ,all my warmest condolences go to his family at this very sad time.I had the good fortune of meeting Stewart,Scoop to his friends a few years back when I first started manufacturing boats and he came to speak to me about doing an article for model boats magazine. We talked for some time about boats and I found him a very warm intelligent and funny guy.
Id like to think we became friends and we kept in touch regularly by email and I will miss his friendship he was one of lifes gentlemen R.I.P Scoop.

Even though he's gone
His memory still remains in our hearts
His smile and face never fade

I'm really struggling for words. Scoop has been a great ambassador for the hobby, for BMPRS, and a friend to many. He was always one of the first when it came to lending a helping hand, and he will be greatly missed by us, and many others.

Deepest condolences to Stewart's family.

Sincere Condolences to his family, met him only once myself and a few messages back and forth but from that little contact would agree that the world will be a lesser place without him.

On behalf of Chasewater mbc, our thoughts are with Stewarts family at this the saddest of times.
He will be deeply missed by the modellers that knew him, especially those involved with the racing side of our hobby.

It is difficult to know what to say. In the relatively short time that I got to know Scoop, I soon became aware of his many talents and fantastically positive attributes. He was a true gentleman always willing to help and a great ambassador of model power boating. His presence will be massively missed but always remembered.
Rest in peace Scoop.
Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult and sad time.
Kind regards

Yes I echo all of the comments made above. The news is very sad. The thing that really will make me remember scoop is how he fought his illness with bravery and dignity continuing his bmprs duties too the full  in his professional way.
He did not falter (despite clearly  being unwell) and continued to command respect and ran meetings in his capacity to the highest standards.

Like craig, I did not know scoop very well, but he always made us welcome and gave us great professional advice when we joined the club only a year or two ago. He will be sorely missed and a hard act to follow!

Finally it goes without saying, I offer my deepest sympathy to his family at this very difficult time.
