LIFEBOATS24-7.COM
« on: September 17, 2013, 08:19:24 am »

Hi ya'all,

has anyone else had the same as me in the last 48 hours trying to get onto this site...........

a total refusal by your  virus blocker ( in my case Vipre) to allow it to come up.

They were having problems a few days ago when members were posting that Google wouldn't allow it because of "known virus's" to be infecting the site, and the admin of the site were telling us all not to worry because of the amount of safety features they have for it...........and then next day a total wipe out.....

all I get now is their host popping up on the tool bar and a message "bad URL blocked by Vipre"

just wondering whether anyone else has actually managed to get onto the site over last 2 days.

I just got on Neil, no problem.

Oops. I got on to the main page but as soon as I tried to access the forum or the gallery I got a message saying that "The website contains malware. Even if you have visited this website safely in the past, visiting it now is very likely to infect your computer with malware" <*<

Trying it, chrome blocks the link with the malware warning, IE10 gets into the site http://lifeboats24-7.co.uk , and a banner on the page says "View the latest news I got this warning from Google".  Not being a member there, it doesn't let me in any further, of course.  So they may have had an infection and cured it but google are behind the times, or there might be something ongoing that IE is either immune to or just leaves to other programs to counteract.

Looking more deeply into it, it seems that the Google bots found a link to another website that contained malware and flagged LB24-7 as supplying an infected page.

Most anti-virus progs refer to outside sources such as Google to maintain their list of infected sites.

The other website has now been listed as clean and has been un-flagged, but LB24-7 is still flagged as linked to the other website.

LB24-7 will have either remove the link, or get Google to remove the flag from their website too, even then it will take time for all anti-virus lists to be cleared.

You can add LB24-7 to your personal exceptions and gain access that way.

just tried again by typing in address on the tool bar, and although I get through to the home page, my anti virus is having none of it, and lets me go no further......ceste la vie...........s'ppose they'll get it sorted in a day or two.

Never had any problems with the site even when other people were saying that they couldn't get on.

I used to build/program pc's so my systems are always up to date and nothing was detected by any of my security programs.

Still getting the warning from Chrome but if I chose to ignore it I can access without any warnings from Avast.
