Hi All,

Back in 2009, I finished the thread "Richelieu 1/200"
http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,13797.50.html
and mentioned that my next project would be 'The lucky ship' Prinz Eugen 1945 in scale 1:200.

It all started very well with the hull nearly finished, when I got a stroke in 2011, and lost some control over my right arm/hand and had to stop the build for the almost 12 months.
I just re-started the hull, when I had a second stroke 18 months ago.

Fortunately I am now back into ship modelling with renewed enthusiasm and have renewed my membership here (for some reason I had been reduced to a Guest in the meantime  ).

The Prinz is a difficult ship to find freely available information about (I am here talking about all the details, fittings and nitty-gritty), so - like for the Richelieu - I have to make all my work drawings myself based on photographs and other information.
Fortunately I got some help with the hull lines from a modeller in Canada.

I would like to share some of the pictures taken along the way of the progress, but my link to Photobucket, where I store all my pictures, doesn't seem to work.
Could somebody please guide me a little through the procedure for adding pics from Photobucket to the post?

I would just like to say"Good on yer Matey!" for overcoming two strokes,and making the effort to get back to building your model.
I am sure you will get the advice you need from someone on here,but in the meantime,I look forward to seeing your progress,both in your health and on your model.

Getting photos from Photobucket couldn't be easier.  I assume you have the pictures uploaded to PB already.  When the picture you want is selected in PB you will see a box on the right of the page with four addresses.  Copy the fourth one, then paste that into your message.  The picture will appear in the message were you pasted the link.

Thanks for the advice. That's what I normally do, but the paste function (right-click on mouse) doesn't work in the textbox for the post, and when I click on the image icon and paste there the link somehow doesn't work. That's why I am a bit frustrated.

Ah, OK.  Have you tried Ctrl-V which is also a paste command?  If that doesn't work I'm afraid you have exhausted my limited knowledge of the subject!

have to use ctrl v on this site as for some reasion right click past does not work. only get that problem on here.

Very well put and fully endorsed.
 
Have just completed a 6 week rehab at local hospital with other stroke victims, so can relate to the challenges you have/are overcoming.

Starting the funnel:



And this is where I'm at now. Nearly all parts for the funnel section are finished and primed. Only the supports for the perforated platforms, the bend tops on the two large vents/pipes, and the rear perforated platform are still to be done.

The funnel is now assembled as far as possible before painting and here are some pics.

Platforms and funnel top have to be brush painted before assembly.
The rest will be spray painted.
