what motor

hi go a 32x13 in long fiberglass hull which i am going to make a fishing boat could you tell me which motor i need  12v or 6v gearboxs or not as new to this and want to get them before i start to build it this winter as i can,t  walk far and looking for something to do i was a skipper on a fishing boat before i got ill and going mad thanks for any help

Hi Spike,
I have the model slipway maggie m and a model slipway our lass ll fishing trawler which are around the same size as your hull, I have them both running on a single 12v 7 amp battery with a marx 12v decaperm 5 pole motor 2,75:1 ratio these motors are high torque with low rpm with this set-up both models have a good running time.
These motors are very expensive bought new ( £150 ) but they come up now and then on that well known auction site ok2 .
