     Hello all ,
                     Time i put some input, on Mayhem , have not been to well this year , so modelling been on the back burner,
                     so just finished a fishing boat KINGFISHER based on American model circa 1958 , with few mods based on Weymouth fishing boats,
                         it is plank on frame using Ikea blind slats ,    styrene wheel house coffee stirrer  planking , winches scratch built ,
                            so is the other deck items, 540 motor  12vlt  batt , action p8o esc ,     
                           hope to test sail Saturday...... please to hear comments ........cheers Larry..

i reakon it ought to be called ikea not kingfisher ! looks like its the only good thing to come from ikea though , id not thought of them taking the place of antics , richard harper models or puffin models though .

Looks good to me. Always worth while keeping an eye open for modelling uses of other items, take electric motors, at one time there must have been many of Mr Smiths Car heater fan  motors in larger model boats, still got four in use and two spares. And, the little motor that makes some mobile phones vibrate is ideal for rotating radar heads, cheap rechargeable screwdriver, motor and battery good for small boats, probably find the list is endless.
