33-01 Brede Lifeboat
« on: June 14, 2007, 05:59:53 pm »

I have started to build the prototype Brede Lifeboat 33-01, any photographs of the boat would be appreciated. I do have a couple of pics  already, and a write up on it from a lifeboat magazine, but the more detail I can get the better. I have been in touch with the M.D. at Lochin Marine who was very interested but unfortunately not able to help me very much.

Best place is the RNLI archives at Poole, contact them and ask.

Cheers Guy
Have had a look and they are as you say the dogs dagglies, only problem is I am building the prototype which had different fittings. Always keep my eyes on what Martin produces, his mouldings are fantastic.

Thanks for the offer, I have recently made contact with the present owner of the boat, it is now owned by Yarmouth Marine Services IOW. The owner also has a model built by Lochin Marine builders of the Brede Lifeboats that was originally presented to the R.N.LI.
I now have a selection of photographs of the model and the boat, all I need now is the time to build my model.
