Lesro Pilot Boat
« on: October 20, 2013, 01:41:08 pm »

I Recently bought this part built Pilot boat from Wicker (Charlie) on here and started work on it this week after I managed to get a set of plans from Lesro Models. Its a wooden hull, think I read somewhere that they're pretty rare, decided to fibreglass the inside to make sure she's sealed, sorry if the photos are a bit blurry, I took them with my phone, It's something different from a trawler anyway haha.

Lookin' good  :-))  Can you tell me the dimensions of the hull, and the scale?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark, thanks, she's 34 inches long and 10 wide, there's no scale on the plans or instructions but I'm pretty sure she's around 1:12 scale, cheers, Cam

Hi Mark, this is my first 1:12 build, I've done a couple of 1:32 trawlers, but I see macs mouldings have quite a few bits n pieces in 1:12 scale, so that saves me making all the wheelhouse equipment haha

Methinks it's 1/16 scale.
Halmatic type hulls were 42-44 ft.
34 inches at 1/16 means 44ft.
1/12 would be a rather short pilot
boat at 34ft.

If it is 1/16 th scale, plenty of figures and equipment available in the "world peacekeeprs" range of toys.
