Just what are they doing Nick? I drove passed the entry last Saturday and saw some building stuff going on.

Hay you never know they may be putting lecky hook ups on the campsite {-)  They charge enough. Has anyone found out how much they want this year for a caravan?

These were taken a few months back, the main work is being concentrated on the big lake, creating new islands, reed bunts and wooden walkways. The current work makes the pictures above from another world, all the silt has been pushed, dug out, and relocated, all the excess is being removed. There are nice rumours that they have a Mississippi style paddle steamer in storage waiting to use the lake later this year. A new outside amphitheatre is being built near our model boat lake, all the old run-down buildings (the hexagonal shaped ones) are being rebuilt, new roads and paths are being routed through out the park, as well as existing ones being relaid. There are other mini projects too but this has been in the planning for 10 years , just been waiting for all the money come together. Should look absolutely fantastic when they are finished. :-))  I'll get some current pictures of the work for the weekend.

For all you eagle eyed Mayhemers out there look in this months edition of Model Boats magazine to see our show advertised in the Compass 360 events section. Many thanks to Paul Freshney for editing and publishing our event :-))

And for those you read Marine Modelling International magazine our advert will be in their events diary in the April/May editions, many thanks to Barrie Stevens for editing and publishing our event :-))

I will be going to the lake this weekend so expect some pictures of the parks refurb on Sunday!

Remember, tell your friends, (bribe or black mail them if necessary :D )to come along to the Mayhem Weekend, the more the merrier!

Hi everyone

The banner is up at Wicksteed for all to see, with the trees removed or trimmed the advert area is very easy to see from the road :-))

The big lake, almost finished being re-sculpted and the final removal of silt is happening next week.

The new foot paths connecting the lakes together
The hedges are being removed opening up the whole area.

The area that is becoming the amphitheatre

Hope someone isn't paying for the weather to be nice too early! :}

Oh, by the way, Stavros, if you are still interested they are building a zip wire in the park! %)

Almost as much mud in that lake as Marham {-)
Lets hope it all goes well and they can start to refill the lake. Ah!!! As from now till the end of summer its not going to rain so it will just be stinking mud till then in all that heat we are going to get. %%

Hello everyone!

I'm putting out this request on behalf of a fellow Victorian era modellers.

We would like to invite anyone who has a Victorian or early 20th century warship to come and sail at the Mayhem weekend to create a turn of the century fleet review parade, the more the better!
So if you've got pre dreadnoughts, armoured rams, turret ships, armoured cruisers, monitors, protected cruisers, torpedo boats, torpedo boat destroyers, gunboats, gun sloops... You get the idea!
Any nation any type of ship, as long as it's from the Victorian or early 20th century eras. Tell us what you've got and we will plan it in, it doesn't matter if we have repeat ships or names, let's create the biggest fleet review of early warships in model form! :-))
Good luck! The Black hulled fleet will return!

To let everyone know who's interested

We have eight warships already, one Russian protected cruiser, several Japanese cruisers, a German light cruiser, a British pre dreadnought and several other smaller vessels.
So keep them coming! :-))

Your idea of scale speed is way different to everyone else, do we need to install some 8ft high catch netting, or maybe higher?  %% %% %% %% %% %% %%
