Just wondered if anyone has seen this kit first hand, looks like it would be good for r/c.

I found a build thread for the Skipjack kit by Mobius. Thats a 1/72nd scale kit so you might find the thread useful.

Picked up a couple of tubes and end caps from MMB at Blackpool for use in a pair of Skipjacks my friend and I are building
Your correct, it is the same tooling and the detailing is superb, well worth the money

I can recommend the official fittings kit, David sent me one for mine and it makes life so much easier when you have the proper parts to hand...everything is superbly designed and made, and all the parts fit perfectly. So good in fact, that I ripped out a lot of the parts I had already fitted and installed the parts from the fittings kit in their place.

I finally got mine for Christmas, I had heard it was a nice kit (and I have seen a lot of plastic kits) but this ones just amazing. :)

Am not sure I want to go the hole hog, was thinking of trying to just make it a surface runner as my club pond is pretty murky and could still run it on my 2.4 tx can it be done any thoughts guys.

Norberts kit is about 120 euros- not bad. You get a well thought out conversion kit that works well. If you lock the rear hydroplanes then you can run as a surface runner, but be aware that this type of hull unlike older boats was designed to work best underwater, so on the surface they make inefficient boats.
