Robbe F 16 TX repairs
« on: October 26, 2013, 10:01:36 am »

Is there anywhere an old F16 could be  serviced /repaired . The left joystick  appers to do nowt although the  Trimmer does.  The right  joystick appears ok albeit  extremely slow to return to central  but as its been lying dormant since the mid 90's probably clogged up with dust. Tried  opening up but  its reluctant to part  have removed the only clips I can see, Have tried to get a manual but none seem to be around. any advice  appreciated .
II have plenty of alternatives bit this has a we module for a Genoa sail fitted
Thanks

I have an FC16, not an F16. the sets are quite similar though I think.

Sounds like a mechanical issue to me with the gimbals.

The control pots are common to both the stick and the trim, so if one is working and not the other, the link to the pot may be damaged. You can contact Robbe regarding spares, they are quite helpful I find.

Two removeable plastic tabs at the bottom of the transmitter case. They slide outwards, and once removed the back comes off- very easy to open and service.

Ahem! I had removed the clips but it would only open a couple of inches .Unsure how much pressure you need to split it

Should come away easily, but it's possible someone may have done a mod or something.

If you have it open a couple of inches it is probably
as far as it will go until you disconnect the cables
connecting the two halves.

Thanks doubt Robbe would be much help I've trawled through their site already no mention of the F16 or its manual though I might give them a try .If it wasn't for the  little Genoa  fitting I would just dump it
