Hi Daz & Boyd
I agree there has been some cracking good racing this year and I can't wait for 2014 to get started! I hope you are on the way to preparing boats for the next season as it will be good to see you both again.
You asked what folks have got planned in terms of new builds, revamps etc...?
For my part I have to confess to being a bit boring! 2013 was my first season racing in BMPRS. I will be racing the same boat for 2014 but with a bit of fine tuning as I think I will need more speed for next season O0
Have we any members that will be entering new boats in their preferred classes? Or new boats in classes not raced in previously??
Go on, spill the beans and reveal what your plans are...... :-))

Cheers
Craig

hi guys

yep been a bit of a mixed bag so to speak this year but weve managed to get to the end of the year !

unfortunately we did cancel the last race due to the early weather forecasts saying sunday morning was going to be bad weather and not wanting to put any members at undue risks ! plus also having to let the venue know early if we intended to race or not ! so after speaking to the members who had booked in they decided that if the weather forecast should be right it would be best not to hold the meeting

so onwards and upwards for 2014 unfortunately scoop wont be at the racers but i think he will in spirit ! and i personally hope that we can carry on building the society on the firm foundations that have been set

Danny is retiring from racing but will still be a member and i hope we will occasionally see him

So the society will be seeing some changes this year which i hope will bring some new ideas and a new freshness to the society.

Hi Folks
For anyone that hasn't seen the latest BMPRS site update, the excellent photos from Judith (of the last Nottingham venue) are uploaded to see: The D58 Cat looks like it is about to enter orbit! %%

We definitely need to pull our fingers out Daz.
This has been a crazy year for me what with uni studies, moving house and starting a new business!
Either way I will be racing in 2014, I'll mould a Makara style hull for certain but hopefully my own design moulds will be completed and I can run one of those. (it'll have to be carbon/Kevlar and epoxy resin infused to allow for any Kurt "bumps" lol)

Some great pics again Craig , Judith really does get some cracking shots  :-))

Shame to see Danny retire he's a top man and full of knowledge and always helpfull
Hopefully he will still attend some races
