Hi all, has enyone upgraded the motor in their dickie or seaport tug, if so what size and make did you use and how did it perform.

I put a low current 540 into mine,running a three blade brass prop see here ( hopefully prop size is in the build log somewhere ) -

Performance is above what you would need for this tug and seems to run forever on one 6v sla.

Thanks Hawkeye I've now got 2 low current 540's on order, with the stock motor ( I think they're 380's ) they struggle in reverse on windy days. I will need to attempt and put their pictures on here if I can figure out how to do it !!!!
