That is a Yamaha Round the World with the name Kenwood added to it. No aware of any boat manufactured under the name Kenwood. Not to worry, the boat in the photo is a Tamiya Yamaha!

The Logo on the side of the boat appears to be that of Kenwood Electronics - Kenwood makes sound equipment Stero speakers, tuners etc. My guess is that the chap that put the boat together liked the Kenwood logo better than putting the Yamaha decals on the side.  :-))

Looks like someone has lost/forgotten the stickers for the kit as I don't see any off them at all.

Its a very nice kit and sails very well when set up correctly.

Looks in very good condition, sails look almost new and the coffee grinders are intact.

Didn't know you were on here Boomer :)

Digressing just a little %)...back in the late 80's Yamaha produced some brilliant audiophile speaker systems........far superior to any offering from Kenwood at the time.......Derek

dear members.

first ,a merry Christmas to all.
thanks for the reply's,yes i know it by now.
the seller was a kenwood sales manager at the time he build it.
he was recovering from heart disease, and does not remember much off that time.
o yes yamaha is a big company, started out as piano builder.
thats why their logo has crossed tuning forks, not on the tamiya rtw..
i want to stiffen the keel and hull,it is the begining of winter over here in the Netherlands.
so plenty of time.
cant wait to sail her, will let you know.

Harry
I know you are aware of this site, but it is worth repeating for others that might have more than a passing interest as it is the definitive build and discussion forum on this terrific Yacht.
